Johnson's Of St. Mary was founded by Ruth and Lester Johnson. This unique bedroom is named after the mother of Ruth Johnson, Bessie Shannon. (Ruth is very knowledgeable about the Johnson family history and lineage, having traced her ancestors to the Mayflower and beyond.)

You will relax and enjoy the breathtaking scenery of Glacier Park as you look at the mountains from your suite. You have your own private bathroom with a shower only. The bedroom has two queen-sized beds for your sleeping comfort. There is an air conditioner to cool down after a long day as well as a small refrigerator and microwave.  There are no cooking facilities, coffee maker, dishes or utensils in the Bessie Shannon bedroom.  We invite you to dine in our world famous cafe. Ruth & Lester's son, Hugo Johnson, has handcrafted the log beds which are covered with fluffy handmade quilts. On each bed you will find a friendly chenille bunny to welcome you. The infusion of both Western and Native American furnishings give this room a traditional Montana feel with country charm. You also have your own private entrance that has 10 steps to gain access to the upstairs bedroom.
